This might not come as a revelation to you but it might just serve as a beautiful reminder that whatever hard thing your facing in this season, God is there with you in it. Our minds try to tell us or convince us of the lie that he is not there but, he is right there and he is still good even in the hard. I encourage you to pause for a moment and let the truth of that statement seep into the weariness in your bones. Let it push past that belief that God isn’t good because something is happening in your world that doesn’t align with the goodness of who he is. The goodness of God remains true in every circumstance and to be honest that is sometimes very difficult to embrace when nothing in your world feels good in the moment. We also can live from this lie that only good things happen to good people and bad things happen to bad people but none of that is true. The truth is that we live in a fallen and broken world and because of that bad things happen to good people and our good father God steps into the bad to carry us till we can walk through it. This is why with confidence I can say that God is with you in the hard.
So, as you’re reading this I want you to know that whatever hard you’re walking through, fighting through and standing in the God that created the heavens and the earth is in it with you. I know sometimes the hard can feel so lonely but, you are not alone because God is with you. I’m learning more and more that hard things can make us bitter and insensitive or they can make us strong and sensitivity to the pain we relate to in others. Hard seasons come and they go and in the mist of the hard we might feel like it will never end. It might feel as if we will never be happy again or never be free but darling one, youwill. You might think how can she possibly say this? It is through faith and trust in Jesus that I stand in my hard knowing he is with me and this is not forever but it is for now. It is hard for now. It is sad for now. It is overwhelming for now. It is painful for now. I hope you can hear a theme in the last few sentences, there are two words I pray stand out the most to you and they are, for now. Jesus is right there in the for now and his beautiful light will be in it with you because he knows that it is not forever.
I always feel amazed when I see plants or even flowers sprouting up through hard places like cement. I always feel drawn to its beauty. I find myself in awe because not even the hard circumstances can stop what was intended to grow out of it. There is the sweetest message here I wish to convey to you about hard places. There is growth that can happen in those hard places we go through. We grow stronger, we grow closer to Jesus, we grow more persistent and even more aware of the beauty of life. There is something happening within our soul in the hard places. We learn to trust Jesus more. So many times we discover the fighter that’s buried inside of us. So, today I’m praying that if you’re walking through something hard that you will know that God is right there with you. You are not alone. You are seen known and deeply loved. If you’re a bible reader you know that even then Jesus showed up in the hard. All that Job walked through Jesus was with him. He lost everything and suffered physically and mentally but Jesus was right there with Job. If you would consider Queen Esther and all that she went through, living in the palace and risking her life to go before the King to save her people. In all of it, Jesus was right there. There is David and all he walked through when King Saul desired to kill him, he chased David to kill him but God was in the hard with David. One last one was Ruth and Naomi and how they loss everything because all the men they loved died. Naomi loss her husband and sons. In the hard Jesus was still there providing for them. Jesus is in the hard, open your spiritual eyes and look again, he is there. Hang in there and keep looking to Jesus the hard won’t last, trust me I’m encouraging myself to. Jesus has got you and me. I’m so grateful you are here. I pray you can take a deep breath and rest in the light of who Jesus is and all that he has planned for you.
