So today I felt led in my heart to take a moment to encourage someone. My desire here in this space is to make sure I’m more intentional in writing what God leads even if I don’t always understand the why or the who. I completely lay my words at his feet because it is only through him that they will touch the lives they were intended for. In this post, I want to encourage you to ,”keep going”. I know that sounds so simple to some but for the person in the fight to keep going, it might just be God breathed. Sometimes we think to keep going that we have to do something deep but, honestly you might just need to get up, get dress and make it out the house. For some of you, it might look like showing up in that college class despite how discouraged you might feel because of your grades. Some of you need to pick that pen back up and just keep writing that book. To keep going is going to look and feel different for us all but whatever it looks like for you, I want to encourage you to keep at it. Don’t let  yourself become  stagnant in a place you were only suppose to rest.  Keep your end goal in your view. I’ve said this before in this space but it’s worth repeating, the only way to finish well is to keep going. We will never know what is on the other side if we quit before we get there. The only way through it is to keep going in it. 

  I just want you to know that you were made for more. You have not reached the max of all that you have to offer. I want to encourage you to not look around you at who is with you, that is not important at all. This is one of the lessons I’m still reminding myself of. What matters most is the one that is inside you. I’m definitely writing to my heart as I’m writing to yours. I’m encouraging myself as I’m encouraging you. I had to learn that who I am is not defined by my job, my education, how smart I think I am or my financial status. The gifts God has placed in me and you are the things that matter. A few questions for you to ponder. Are you making a difference regardless of what you do for a living?Are you leaving an impact? What are your goals your fighting to reach? We think it has to be something huge to make a difference. Let me tell you this, I’m a teacher assistant or para educator and when I work with a child on something and they get it, that’s me making a difference. When I have the chance to create a safe space for our students to learn, explore and be curious about the world, I know I’m doing great work that will shape the future of our world. I have to keep going, keep fighting, keep reaching and showing up doing what I do. Honestly they can get someone else to do my job, but they definitely cannot get another me. Keep going in whatever you do, do it with excellence. Believe it or not I have been in places where I’ve let myself feel like I need to be ashamed of finally getting to do what I’ve always wanted to do and that is use my gift to impact others. You are doing something great by showing up. You are doing something great when the time to walk away spaces that no longer serve you well, you are doing something great by being kind even to those who are not always kind,  you are doing something great leading with integrity, you are doing something great homeschooling your children in excellence, you are doing something great staying home with your children and creating a environment your family can thrive in. Don’t allow anyone to down play what you do. I need you to keep going. Don’t you dare quit because you think that what you  do is insignificant, if you only understood the great significance in what you do. Keep going even if you feel like all you do is cheer for others,  someone greater is cheering for you and that is Jesus. Keep going Jesus is cheering for you. Keep going Jesus wants you to keep going. Jesus sees you and he is for you. I hope you feel encouraged today to keep going.
